In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Rio Grande City Rattlers basketball team scored a close 49-48 triumph over the New Braunfels Unicorns.
The Rattlers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against La Joya (La Joya, TX). The Coyotes go into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, La Joya was tipped by Clemens (Schertz, TX), 47-44, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Unicorns battle the Cigarroa Toros (Laredo, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, November 21. New Braunfels will attempt to advance on its 4-6 season record. The Toros enter the match with a 4-3 record after their 50-25 non-league win over Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX).
