Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Eldorado Eagles (Eldorado, IL), 71-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Meridian upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Carrier Mills-Stonefort (Carrier Mills, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 22. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Carrier Mills-Stonefort lost 94-31 in their recent non-league bout against Vienna (Vienna, IL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 22. Eldorado will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
