The Brookeland Wildcats (Brookeland, TX) basketball knocked off the host Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX), 51-36 in Monday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their test against High Island (High Island, TX). The Cardinals go into the 1A Region IV District 28 test with a 2-0 record.

The Mustangs now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Martinsville for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 29. Overton will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 57-13 non-league win over Leggett (Leggett, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 4-5.
