Talawanda Braves (Oxford, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they saw their basketball squad wallop the visiting Valley View Spartans (Germantown, OH), 61-29 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Talawanda improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Braves host Ross (Hamilton, OH) to confront the Rams in a Southwest Ohio challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Oakwood Lumberjacks (Dayton, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 22. Valley View will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 59-41 non-league loss to Greenon (Springfield, OH).
