Shawano Community Hawks (Shawano, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI), 63-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shawano Community upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hawks travel to Clintonville (Clintonville, WI) to clash with the Truckers in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 25. The Truckers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Thunderbirds clash with the Medford Raiders (Medford, WI) in a Great Northern bout, on Friday, December 1. Lakeland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
