Georgia High School Basketball - Mount Vernon tops North Gwinnett

November 21, 2023: Suwanee, GA 30024

Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host North Gwinnett Bulldogs (Suwanee, GA), 70-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Whitefield Academy (Mableton, GA) to play the WolfPack in a A D1 Region 6 bout on Friday, December 1. The WolfPack come into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Mountain View Bears (Lawrenceville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 28. North Gwinnett will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 66-51 non-league win over Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA).
