The Carlinville Cavaliers basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers to 23 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carrollton for a non-league contest on Monday, November 27. Carlinville will battle a Hawks team coming off a 54-14 non-league win over Litchfield (Litchfield, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 3-2.

The Tigers (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL). The Trojans enter the Western Illinois Valley contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia was routed by North Mac (Virden, IL), 43-41, in a non-league contest.
