The Alexander Central Cougars basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting North Iredell Raiders to 39 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton-Conover for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 28. Alexander Central will meet a Red Devils team coming off a 20-9 non-league loss to Foard (Newton, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 0-1.
The Raiders (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
