North Carolina High School Basketball - South Mecklenburg nudges Providence

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad edged the host Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC), by a count of 48-45.

The Sabres (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC). The Buccaneers go into the non-league outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, Charlotte Country Day School held off Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC), 66-28, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Sun Valley for a non-league outing on Tuesday, November 28. Providence will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 56-38 non-league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 2-0.
