The Independence Patriots basketball squad (Charlotte, NC), was crushed 70-31 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC)

With the victory, Porter Ridge advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Pirates host Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league battle on Friday, November 22. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 0-1. Lincoln Charter lost 51-39 in their recent non-league battle against Asheville School (Independent) (Asheville, NC)

The Patriots now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Cabarrus for a non-league battle on Monday, December 2.
