In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Jefferson Mustangs basketball team scored a big 47-26 win over the Irvin Rockets.
The Mustangs (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Providence Catholic (San Antonio, TX). The Provets come into the non-league contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Providence Catholic was trounced by El Paso (El Paso, TX), 55-33, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Rockets battle the Socorro Bulldogs (El Paso, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 22. Irvin will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 47-31 non-league win over El Dorado (El Paso, TX).
