Hoover Cardinals (San Diego, CA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Hoover moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Christian (El Cajon, CA) to meet the Patriots in a non-league test on Friday, November 22. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Matadors now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mar Vista for a non-league test on Friday, December 6.
