The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) and the visiting Brownfield Cubs (Brownfield, TX), observed Hobbs's basketball team overwhelm Brownfield by a score of 81-44.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Cubs encounter the Frenship Memorial Panthers (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, November 24. Brownfield will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 56-48 non-league win over Pampa (Pampa, TX).
