In Friday's non-league contest, the host Grand Prairie Gophers basketball team scored a big 49-14 triumph over the Jefferson Patriots.

The Gophers (7-4) will now prepare for their match against Nimitz (Irving, TX). The Vikings enter the non-league match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Nimitz overwhelmed Fossil Ridge (Keller, TX), 27-22, in a non-league match.

The Patriots now sport a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Kimball for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 25. Jefferson will confront a Knights team coming off a 55-10 non-league loss to United South (Laredo, TX). The Knights record now stands at 0-8.
