Texas High School Basketball - Veterans Memorial nips Harlingen

November 22, 2022: Brownsville, TX 78520

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) and the visiting Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX), saw Veterans Memorial's basketball squad hold off Harlingen by a tally of 50-47.

With the victory, Veterans Memorial improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX) to play the Rangers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 1. The Rangers come into the challenge with a record of 6-4.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Alexander Bulldogs (Laredo, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, November 26. Harlingen will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 48-45 non-league loss to West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX).
