Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) and the visiting Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX), saw Vela's basketball squad overcome Weslaco by a tally of 57-47.

With the victory, Vela improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Sabercats host United South (Laredo, TX) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, November 26. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. United South won 52-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Edinburg (Edinburg, TX)
