The South Plaquemines Hurricanes basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Sumner Cowboys to 42 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Hurricanes now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Paul's for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 25. South Plaquemines will battle a Wolves team coming off a 78-68 non-league loss to Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-1.
The Cowboys (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hammond (Hammond, LA). The Tornadoes enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Hammond nudged Abramson (New Orleans, LA), 60-30, in a non-league contest.
