Indiana High School Basketball - Blue River Valley nudges New Castle

November 22, 2023: Mt. Summit, IN 47362

Blue River Valley Vikings (Mt. Summit, IN) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Blue River Valley upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Wapahani (Selma, IN) to clash with the Raiders in a Mid-Eastern bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Wapahani lost 60-26 in their recent league bout against Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the New Palestine Dragons (New Palestine, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage bout, on Tuesday, November 28. New Castle will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 59-58 non-league loss to Whiteland (Whiteland, IN).
