The East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) basketball nipped the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 52-50 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers (1-2) will now prepare for their test against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, St. Stephens got by South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 61-48, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hibriten for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 28.
