The McKinley Panthers basketball team scored 76 points and limited the host Capitol Lions to 72 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host University Lab for a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. McKinley will play a Cubs team coming off a 64-51 non-league win over Oak Ridge (Oak Ridge, TN). The Cubs record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Capitol falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA) to play the Knights in a 2A District 8 game on Tuesday, November 26. The Knights go into the game with a record of 0-2. Slaughter Community Charter lost 48-47 in their recent non-league game against Northside Christian (Crowley, LA)
