The Granby Memorial/Canton Bears walloped the visiting North Branford Thunderbirds football team by a score of 42-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Thunderbirds (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Coginchaug Regional/East Hampton/Hale Ray (Durham, CT). The Blue Devils go into the Pequot - Sassacus challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Coginchaug Regional/East Hampton/Hale Ray was ripped by Rockville (Vernon, CT), 44-7, in a non-league challenge.
