The Loyola Crusaders basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Maple River Eagles to 50 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Crusaders now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman for a A Section 2 game on Tuesday, November 26.

With the loss, Maple River falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (Waterville, MN) to confront the Buccaneers in a AA Section 2 game on Tuesday, November 26. The Buccaneers go into the game with a record of 1-1. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown won 75-47 in their recent non-league game against Sleepy Eye (Sleepy Eye, MN)
