In Friday's non-league contest, the host Elkin Buckin' Elks basketball team scored a good 45-31 triumph over the Union Grove Christian Patriots.
The Buckin' Elks (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against West Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, West Iredell was topped by Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 66-43, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Patriots confront the Hilltop Christian Chargers (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, November 23. Union Grove Christian will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Chargers go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 38-14 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Greenville, NC).
