The Alcoa Tornadoes defeated the host Powell Panthers basketball squad by a final score of 65-55 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Tornadoes now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Loudon for a 3A District 5 bout on Tuesday, December 9.
With the loss, Powell falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host White County (Sparta, TN) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 22. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 1-0. White County won 57-48 in their recent non-league test against Pearl-Cohn (Nashville, TN)
