Harlem Huskies (Machesney Park, IL) backers went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team thwart the host Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL), 52-38 in a non-league contest.

The Huskies (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Marian Central Catholic (Woodstock, IL). The Hurricanes go into the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Marian Central Catholic was topped by Cary-Grove (Cary, IL), 54-21, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cogs battle the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders (Ashton, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, November 22. Genoa-Kingston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Raiders enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 57-28 non-league loss to Rockford Christian (Rockford, IL).
