The Harlingen South Hawks edged the host McAllen Memorial Mustangs basketball team by a tally of 49-46 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Hawks now possess a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Sharyland for a non-league bout on Saturday, November 22. Harlingen South will play a Rattlers team coming off a 55-34 non-league win over Donna (Donna, TX). The Rattlers record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, McAllen Memorial falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Palmview (La Joya, TX) to play the Lobos in a non-league test on Tuesday, November 25. The Lobos come into the test with a record of 2-5. Palmview lost 56-46 in their recent non-league test against South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)
