The Life Waxahachie Mustangs (Waxahachie, TX) basketball edged the visiting Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX), 47-40 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwest for a non-league test on Saturday, November 22. Life Waxahachie will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 58-8 non-league loss to Aubrey (Aubrey, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 2-7.

The Wampus Cats (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Bremond (Bremond, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Bremond was nipped by Franklin (Franklin, TX), 31-18, in a non-league test.
