Indiana High School Basketball - Southwestern nips Madison

November 23, 2022: Madison, IN 47250

Southwestern Rebels (Hanover, IN) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Madison Cubs (Madison, IN), 60-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Southwestern upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Rebels host Shawe Memorial (Madison, IN) to play the Hilltoppers in a Ohio River Valley bout on Friday, December 2. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Cubs play the Jennings County Panthers (North Vernon, IN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Madison will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 61-52 non-league win over Columbus North (Columbus, IN).
