In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Peoria Lions basketball team scored a tight 53-46 triumph over the Springfield Southeast Spartans.
In their next game, the Lions meet the Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) in a Big Twelve match, on Friday, December 2. Peoria will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record.
