The Wheeling Wildcats basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Vernon Hills Cougars to 45 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northridge for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 26. Wheeling will meet a Knights team coming off a 39-28 non-league loss to Amundsen (Chicago, IL). The Knights record now stands at 1-2.

The Cougars (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bowen (Chicago, IL). The Boilermakers enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Bowen was defeated by Northridge (Niles, IL), 52-30, in a non-league contest.
