The Watauga Pioneers basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Shelby Golden Lions to 49 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Pioneers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Johnson County for a non-league contest on Friday, November 25.

The Golden Lions (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
