The Hornets (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Sabercats come into the non-league challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Vela edged Johnson (Buda, TX), 58-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Dragons encounter the Jay Mustangs (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge, on Tuesday, November 26. Southwest will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 71-64 non-league win over Shoemaker (Killeen, TX).
