Texas High School Basketball - Morton Ranch routs Alvin

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Morton Ranch Mavericks basketball team scored a big 54-27 triumph over the Alvin Yellowjackets.

The Mavericks (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against Katy Taylor (Katy, TX). The Mustangs enter the 6A Region III District 19 battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Katy Taylor was crushed by Klein (Klein, TX), 63-43, in a non-league battle.

The Yellowjackets now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shadow Creek for a 6A Region III District 22 battle on Tuesday, November 26. Alvin will meet a Sharks squad coming off a 62-59 non-league loss to Deer Park (Deer Park, TX). The Sharks record now stands at 9-5.
