In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines ice hockey team scored a close 5-4 victory over the Forest Lake Rangers.
The Wolverines (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Wayzata (Plymouth, MN). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Wayzata was nipped by Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN), 4-3, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Rangers play the Denfeld Hunters (Duluth, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 26. Forest Lake will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
