In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Winona Winhawks ice hockey team scored a nice 12-1 victory over the Worthington Trojans.
The Winhawks (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against La Crescent (La Crescent, MN). The Lancers go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, La Crescent prevailed over Worthington (Worthington, MN), 7-0, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Trojans play the Redwood Valley Cardinals (Redwood Falls, MN) in a Southwest contest, on Tuesday, November 26. Worthington will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
