The Annawan Braves (Annawan, IL) basketball nipped the host Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL), 43-39 in Friday's non-league test.
The Braves (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Flying Geese go into the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Wethersfield got by Elmwood (Elmwood, IL), 72-64, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Stark County for a non-league test on Saturday, November 25. Putnam County will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 49-45 non-league win over Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL). The Rebels record now stands at 2-2.
