In Friday's non-league outing, the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions (Avondale, AZ) basketball squad edged the host Cicero Prep Academy Centurions (Scottsdale, AZ), by a margin of 56-55.
The Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Veritas Prep (Phoenix, AZ). The Falcons go into the non-league outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Veritas Prep held off Lincoln Prep (Chandler, AZ), 62-27, in a non-league outing.
The Centurions now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Cruz Valley for a non-league outing on Monday, November 27. Cicero Prep Academy will clash with a Dust Devils squad coming off a 62-39 non-league loss to Coolidge (Coolidge, AZ). The Dust Devils record now stands at 1-1.
