The Pekin Dragons basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting North Chicago Warhawks to 24 in the Dragons non-league triumph on Friday.
The Dragons now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 25. Pekin will battle a J-Hawks team coming off a 63-59 non-league win over East Peoria (East Peoria, IL). The J-Hawks record now stands at 2-3.
The Warhawks (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL). The Grey Ghosts enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Illinois Valley Central was routed by Dixon (Dixon, IL), 66-45, in a non-league contest.
