Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA), 66-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grant upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Lancers travel to Alemany (Mission Hills, CA) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, November 24. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Alemany won 83-23 in their recent non-league bout against Eagle Rock (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Chatsworth Chancellors (Chatsworth, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 25. Newbury Park will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Chancellors go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 51-46 non-league win over Arleta (Arleta, CA).
