Mantachie Mustangs (Mantachie, MS) backers went home pleased Monday as they observed their basketball team overcome the visiting Thrasher Rebels (Booneville, MS), 63-46 in a non-league contest.

The Mustangs (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Smithville (Smithville, MS). The Seminoles come into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Smithville defeated Jumpertown (Booneville, MS), 81-37, in a non-league contest.

The Rebels now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine Grove for a 1A Region 1 match on Tuesday, December 2. Thrasher will face a Panthers squad coming off a 57-47 non-league loss to Marshall Academy (Holly Springs, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 2-6.
