Coronado Cougars (Henderson, NV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Modesto Christian Crusaders (Modesto, CA), 78-70 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Coronado upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Salesian College Preparatory (Richmond, CA) to clash with the Pride in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 26. The Pride go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Salesian College Preparatory won 89-35 in their recent non-league bout against Mt. Diablo (Concord, CA)

Next up, the Crusaders clash with the Notre Dame (SO) Knights (Sherman Oaks, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 26. Modesto Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 66-64 non-league loss to West Ranch (Valencia, CA).
