Newton Rams (Covington, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Grovetown Warriors (Grovetown, GA), 67-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newton upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Rams host McEachern (Powder Springs, GA) to clash with the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 26. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 4-1. McEachern won 72-56 in their recent non-league bout against Memphis East (Memphis, TN)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Wheeler Wildcats (Marietta, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 26. Grovetown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 63-49 non-league win over North Gwinnett (Suwanee, GA).
