Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Kell Longhorns (Marietta, GA), 62-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hoover upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Oxford (Oxford, AL) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 29. The Yellow Jackets come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Oxford won 69-44 in their recent non-league bout against Handley (Roanoke, AL)

Next up, the Longhorns play the Griffin Bears (Griffin, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 26. Kell will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 56-40 non-league win over Central (Macon, GA).
