Illinois High School Basketball - Clinton tops Auburn

Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), 61-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Clinton upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Maroons host Olympia (Stanford, IL) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Olympia lost 76-64 in their recent non-league bout against El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL)

Next up, the Trojans play the Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 28. Auburn will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 39-37 non-league win over North Greene (White Hall, IL).
