Buchholz Bobcats (Gainesville, FL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Vanguard Knights (Ocala, FL), 63-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Buchholz upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Santa Fe (Alachua, FL) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 30. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Santa Fe lost 76-51 in their recent non-league bout against Godby (Tallahassee, FL)

Next up, the Knights play the Fleming Island Golden Eagles (Orange Park, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Vanguard will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 56-50 non-league win over Escambia (Pensacola, FL).
