Hoover Tornados (Glendale, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host San Gabriel Matadors (San Gabriel, CA), 56-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hoover upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Tornados travel to Arcadia (Arcadia, CA) to play the Apaches in a Pacific bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Apaches come into the bout with a record of 4-2. Arcadia lost 66-61 in their recent non-league bout against Palo Verde (Las Vegas, NV)

Next up, the Matadors play the Gabrielino Eagles (San Gabriel, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 28. San Gabriel will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 61-52 non-league loss to Estancia (Costa Mesa, CA).
