V.R. Eaton Eagles (Fort Worth, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Newman International Academy Warriors (Cedar Hill, TX), 81-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, V.R. Eaton upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 30. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 4-1. San Angelo Central lost 49-32 in their recent non-league bout against Midland Christian (Midland, TX)

Next up, the Warriors play the Advantage Academy Eagles (Grand Prairie, TX) in a TCSAAL bout, on Tuesday, November 28. Newman International Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 43-23 league loss to International Leadership of Texas Lancaster-DeSoto (DeSoto, TX).
