Woodlands Academy Wildcats (Lake Forest, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Elgin Academy Hilltoppers (Elgin, IL), 2-0 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Woodlands Academy upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Francis W. Parker (Chicago, IL) to play the Colonels in a Independent School bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Colonels come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Francis W. Parker lost 65-45 in their recent non-league bout against Walther Christian Academy (Melrose Park, IL)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Alden-Hebron Green Giants (Hebron, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Elgin Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
