    The Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) basketball nipped the host Langston Hughes Panthers (Fairburn, GA), 71-68 in Saturday's non-league test.

    The Buccaneers (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Plainview (Rainsville, AL). The Bears go into the non-league test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Plainview got by Westminster Christian Acadmey (Huntsville, AL), 71-21, in a non-league test.

    The Panthers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Dutchtown for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 28. Langston Hughes will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 62-41 non-league loss to White County (Cleveland, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.
