Beaumont Cougars (Beaumont, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Chaffey Tigers (Ontario, CA), 36-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Beaumont upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Indian Springs (San Bernardino, CA) to play the COYOTES in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The COYOTES come into the bout with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Tigers play the El Monte Lions (El Monte, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 6. Chaffey will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 62-20 non-league loss to Pioneer (Whittier, CA).
